LAS VEGAS (AP) — Ride-hailing companies in Las Vegas such as Uber and Lyft won't have to hand over lists of their drivers to Clark County commissioners after all. Commissioners have approved the county's business licensing ordinance without language requiring the companies to provide driver names.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Trial has been set in January for a Las Vegas gun collector who pleaded not guilty to charges that he threatened to harm President Barack Obama and other government officials. Tyrone Ponthieux was indicted Nov. 18 and pleaded not guilty Nov. 25. He has been in federal custody since June.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson has tapped a Las Vegas pastor and author to be his Nevada campaign chairman. Rev. Paul Marc Goulet is the senior pastor at the International Church of Las Vegas, a large, non-denominational Christian congregation where Carson spoke last month.
