COLFAX, Iowa (AP) — The Jasper County Sheriff's Office says a therapy horse missing since last week has been found.
Denise Carroll told Des Moines television station KCCI (http://bit.ly/1Oti91P ) that her family's horse, Buddy, was found Wednesday by Tom Colvin, executive director at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. Colvin spotted Buddy in a field about a mile from the Carrolls' home.
Carroll says Buddy was donated to help her and her husband and their children. The Carrolls care for several foster children with special needs.
