STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Baylor quarterback Jarrett Stidham did not start the second half after taking several hard hits against Oklahoma State.

Chris Johnson was in the game for the Bears' first possession of the second half, and he led the Bears to the end zone and a 31-14 lead.

Stidham, a freshman, had back soreness after last week's loss to Oklahoma. He ran seven times for 36 yards in the first half against Oklahoma State, and failed to avoid contact several times. He completed 12 of 22 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown in the first half Saturday night to help the Bears to a 24-14 lead over the unbeaten Cowboys.

Baylor already was on its backup quarterback — Seth Russell is out for the season after he fractured a bone in his neck.
