NEW YORK (AP) — Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony is the executive producer of the new documentary about former New York playground star and NBA player Lloyd Daniels.
""The Legend of 'Swee' Pea'" debuts Tuesday in New York and tells the story of Daniels, whose rise was sidetracked by drug addiction and violence. He had remnants of bullets still in his body as he embarked on his pro career.
He finally made it to the NBA in 1992 at age 25 and played seven years in the league and 20 years overall as a pro in other U.S. and international leagues.
