Coroner ID's man found dead in area northeast of Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a 36-year-old man whose body found in October near a camping area about 70 miles northeast of Las Vegas.

The Clark County coroner said Friday that investigators are still trying to determine how James Russell Wood died.

Wood's body was found by hikers Oct. 24 near the Snow Bird Mesa camping area in off state Route 169 near Overton and Valley of Fire State Park

Police say Wood last seen in early August, and his 2004 Saturn car was later found in the area.
