SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake man who had more than 600 images of child pornography, including pictures of adults sexually assaulting young children, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.
Steven Seth Hansen, 36, earlier pleaded guilty to one county of possession of child pornography in U.S. District Court. As part of a plea agreement, Hansen will also be on probation for life after he's released from prison.
Following up on tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, agents executed a search warrant at Hansen's home in March. They seized a tablet and phone containing images of child pornography.
Hansen has a previous federal conviction for use of interstate facilities to transmit information about a minor.
