NELSONVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A prosecutor says no charges will be filed in the case of a woman who reported being sexually assaulted by five men at a southeastern Ohio college.
Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn says in a statement Wednesday that a thorough investigation turned up "no evidence to pursue an indictment" against the men involved in the Aug. 27 incident at Hocking College.
A Hocking College student had told police Tuesday that she had been drinking at a party, returned to her dorm room, and awoke in the morning naked and in pain with five men, also naked, in the room. Although the woman initially said she was drunk, prosecutors said alcohol was not involved.
Blackburn said the college cooperated fully with the investigation.
