Lehigh holds off Georgetown 33-28

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — Brad Mayes passed for two touchdowns, Micco Brisker and Nick Shafnisky both ran for scores and Lehigh held off a fourth-quarter rally by Georgetown to win 33-28 Saturday.

The Mountain Hawks (4-4, 2-1 Patriot League) got 436 yards of total offense, including 222 rushing yards, against the league's No. 2-ranked defense overall and the top defense against the run.

Mayes was 18 of 24 for 214 yards, with TD passes of 11 and 5 yards to Troy Pelletier to give Lehigh a 24-7 halftime lead. Dominick Bragalone gained 169 yards on 20 carries, Brisker gained 30 on eight carries, including a 2-yard TD run, and Shafnisky's 1-yard TD run in the fourth quarter iced it.

Kyle Nolan threw four TD passes for the Hoyas (4-5, 2-2). His 17-yard strike to Jake DeCicco pulled Georgetown within 33-28 with 1:41 to play. Nolan was 25 of 38 for 355 yards. DeCicco had 10 catches for 195 yards.
