BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idahoans who buy their health insurance through the state-based health exchange will have more options but face higher costs while shopping for coverage for 2016. Pat Kelly, executive director of Your Health Idaho executive director Pat Kelly says the exchange will offer more than 200 plans. The average cost of the plans is higher.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The only survivor of an attack on a northern Idaho family 10 years ago is living in southern Idaho and expecting a child in March. Eighteen-year-old Shasta Groene tells KHQ-TV that she considers herself a survivor who won't let tragedy define her life. Shasta was abducted by the killer, but rescued when a waitress recognized her and called police.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — The College of Southern Idaho is asking a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit by a former vice president claiming discrimination based on her gender and national origin. Edit Szanto, a Romanian immigrant, claims she was fired when she complained about her treatment. The Times-News reports that CSI officials deny all allegations made in the complaint.
KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) — Federal authorities have ordered a central Idaho juice company to stop operations due to food safety concerns. KTVB-TV reports that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ordered the Ketchum-based Sun Valley Juice Company closed. Federal officials say the company has repeatedly failed to adhere to food safety laws. The company didn't return a call from The Associated Press on Friday.
