SALT LAKE CITY — Sometimes it's a crime of opportunity. Other times it's well-thought-out. Either way, when your package is stolen right off your front porch, it likely makes you really mad. And even though the thieves are often seen on surveillance video, statistics show they're rarely caught. In fact, Salt Lake City Police say more than 90 percent of stolen property cases remain unsolved.
