(KSL News) Police have released the name of the man whose body was discovered Sunday in weeds along Interstate 80.
The medical examiner has determined that 47-year-old Rodney Jackson of Salt Lake City died as a result of high-speed blunt trauma to the back of the head.
Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Cameron Roden said that it's possible he was the victim of a hit-and-run, or a driver who did not know he or she had hit someone. Roden also said Jackson might have been hit by a mirror on a semi truck.
The medical examiner believes Jackson's body had been there several days before it was discovered.
