BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The athletic director at the University of Vermont is retiring at the end of June.
Robert Corran, who is also an associate vice president at UVM, announced Thursday he would retire from the position he has held since 2003.
Corran said he has been considering retirement for the past year. He says he's proud of his accomplishments during his time at UVM.
Among the milestones during Corran's time at UVM are three appearances by the men's hockey team in the NCAA men's hockey tournament, a trip to the Frozen Four in 2009 and seven consecutive America East Academic Cups. He has also overseen improvements in UVM's athletic facilities.
UVM says it will conduct a nationwide search for Corran's replacement.
