ARIZONA STRIP — A 47-year-old man from St. George died in a single-vehicle rollover accident Monday, investigators said.
Deputies from Arizona's Mohave County Sheriff's Office said they discovered the Ford Explorer after it rolled off Mt. Trumbull Loop, south of St. George's River Road, because they saw a "big cloud of dust" from a few blocks away. The deputies arrived on scene at about 5:20 p.m.
St. George resident Matthew Harris Putnam was the only occupant of the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies attempted to perform CPR on Putnam but were unsuccessful, and he was declared dead on scene.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The sheriff's office is waiting for autopsy results.
