SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Employees at Utah Housing Corp. are getting a free ride.
The nonprofit agency is paying for passes for Utah Transit Authority buses and trains for employees. The idea is to reduce auto emissions along the Wasatch Front as employees make the commute to work.
Utah Housing purchased UTA's premium Eco-Passes. That gives the 55 employees travel on FrontRunner, TRAX, express buses and fixed-route buses anywhere within the UTA system.
The two agencies have worked on commuter options before.
Utah Housing assists in affordable housing opportunities for lower-income first-time home buyers.
