(KSL News) A Utah attorney may soon represent one of the detainees at Guantanamo Bay.

Steven Killpack will defend Ammar al-Baluchi, the nephew of the man who is blamed as the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks. For now, though, it's unclear the role Killpack will have in Baluchi's case.

Baluchi said recently said he does not want an American lawyer because of the torture he claims the American government put him through.

Killpack said he will investigate those allegations but for now is trying to find out if Baluchi even wants his help.
