JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Dennis Schroder scored 11 points as the Atlanta Hawks overcame a slow first half to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 103-93 Friday night.
Atlanta took its first lead at the end of the third quarter, then pulled away in the fourth during the preseason game at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.
Anthony Davis led the Hawks with 20 points in 26 minutes.
PELICANS: Tyreke Evans had 17 points. . New Orleans shot under 40 percent in both halves.
HAWKS: Atlanta made 30.8 percent (12 of 39) in the first half. . Atlanta took its first lead in the game with 4 seconds left in the third. . Al Horford, Kyle Korver and Kent Bazemore each had 10 points.
STAR WATCH: Davis (8 of 15) and Bazemore (2 for 3) were the only starters from either team to shoot at least 50 percent.
UP NEXT: New Orleans visits Chicago on Monday night. Atlanta hosts San Antonio on Wednesday night.
