(KSL News) A late-night guilty verdict means a former member of the FLDS church will spend time in prison for rape and murder.
At 9:30 last night, a jury convicted 19-year-old Parley Jeffs Dutson in the death of his 15-year-old girlfriend, Kara Hopkins. Dutson, who was kicked out of the FLDS church, shot Hopkins in the head during a party last year after she refused to have sex with him.
He'll be sentenced in August.
