Fourth of July celebrations are being prepared all around Utah. But for one group, today is the big party day.

Crazy Canuck store owner Regan Scoville is putting together a Canada Day celebration in Provo's Kiwanis Park for those Canadians amongst us.

"There are thousands of Canadians down here," he said.

He says Canada Day basically is celebrated the same way the Fourth is, with parades, rodeos, fireworks and, of course, Canadian cuisine.

"Nobody can go Canada Day without ketchup potato chips and a wonder bar," he said.

He says this year's party will have about 200 people. He's hoping the party grows to about 1,000 people next year.

The Canadian festival takes place this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kiwanis Park, which is located at 820 N. 1100 East in Provo. The public is invited, especially those with ties to Canada. There will be bouncy toys for children and Canadian trivia and games for the adults. For more information call 356-3738.
