CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Former operators of Sharkey's Casino in Gardnerville have agreed to pay a $12,000 fine in a settlement with the Gaming Control Board.
The Nevada Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/1KTAhn2) Holder Group LLC also lost its license to operate the casino. The group was charged with failing on at least nine occasions to maintain enough cash on hand to ensure winning customers could be paid.
Holder Group was also charged with lacking financial documentation that would have allowed investigators and auditors to ensure legal slot percentages.
New owners reopened the casino in April.
