SALT LAKE CITY — A little bit of service can go a long way, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints demonstrates that in a video released in June.
The video begins with a man carting around a take-a-number dispenser, abandoning it on the Monument Plaza in Sugar House before the sun comes up and people begin to populate the area.
As each number is selected, a different act of service is advised for the recipient to perform.
Participants perform service acts such as "give a compliment" "give someone a high five" and "say hi to a stranger."
The church paired the video with the hashtag #SimplyServe, which spurred activity on social media.
