LAS VEGAS (AP) — Think wagering $20 to win $1 million by picking a winning combination of NFL players for a fantasy team is gambling? The league says it's not. So do fast-growing daily fantasy sports companies like DraftKings and FanDuel that offer the games and advertise with teams in the long gambling-adverse pro football organization. But that has Las Vegas casinos and sports books feeling like they're on the wrong end of a double-standard that bars traditional sports betting outside a handful of states, including Nevada, but allows daily fantasy sports in most of the United States. Officials in the casino industry argue that both should be legalized and regulated.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Burning Man organizers are considering legal action against sandwich chain Quiznos over a video ad that pokes fun at the festival. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that festival officials say the video is theft of the event's intellectual property. Representatives from Quiznos were not immediately available for comment.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say two people have died after a shooting in the east end of the Las Vegas Valley. KVVU-TV reports that police are searching for the gunman in a shooting that took place Friday on Boulder Highway. A spokesman says police aren't sure of the shooter's or victims' identities and don't know what the shooter's motive was.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say they have recovered the body of a missing University of Nevada, Reno student in Yosemite National Park. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that park rangers confirmed a body found earlier this week is that of 24-year-old graduate student Matthew Baldwin.
