SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. (AP) — Grant Billmeier is returning to Seton Hall as an assistant basketball coach.

Coach Kevin Willard announced Tuesday that Billmeier will be returning to the program. The former captain and two-time NCAA Tournament participant was the Pirates' director of basketball operations in 2013-14 and coordinator of basketball operations from 2010-13.

Billmeier returns to Seton Hall after a year stint as an assistant coach at Fairleigh Dickinson, where he served under coach Greg Herenda and worked with the team's post players.

A native of Pennington, N.J., Billmeier played professionally in Germany and Portugal. He also runs his own basketball summer camp, along with former St. Patrick High School teammate and Villanova guard Mike Nardi.
