RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police say a 27-year-old man linked to a string of stolen vehicles, robberies and car chases has been arrested. Authorities say Stephen Christie was arrested yesterday with the help of a Sparks police dog. He's charged with armed robbery, eluding, and illegal possession of a firearm by an ex-felon. Police are looking for a second suspect.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The family that owns a parcel of land inside a vast Air Force bombing range in Nevada is rejecting the government's $5.2 million offer to buy the property. The owners include descendants of a couple who lost their hardscrabble mining enterprise after the Air Force moved in in the 1940s. The Air Force says they'll now move to seize the property through condemnation.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) —About 100 people, including Gov. Brian Sandoval, ran in a 5K race in Carson City to honor the people who were shot and killed at a pancake restaurant four years ago. The father of one of the victims carried an American flag during the run on Sunday. Three of the four victims were members of the National Guard.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Russia's Roman Vlasov and German Frank Staebler won titles yesterday in the opening session of the wrestling world championships in Las Vegas. Staebler defeated Korea's Ryu Han-Soo and Vlasov beat Denmark's Mark Madsen. American Andy Bisek won his bronze medal match after earning the U.S. a spot in the Rio Olympics with a top-six finish.
