BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Joe Licata threw two touchdowns to lead Buffalo to a 51-14 win over Albany (N.Y.) on Saturday in the season opener for both teams.

Licata finished with 246 yards for the Bulls. Anthone Taylor ran for 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The Bulls followed an early Albany touchdown with 24 unanswered points before halftime, including a Licata TD pass to Marcus McGill and rushing touchdowns by Taylor and Jordan Johnson.

Taylor ran for another score early in the second half and Licata hit Jacob Martinez from 20 yards to give the Bulls a 38-7 advantage with 9:08 left in the third quarter. Albany scored again early in the fourth to make it 38-14 but a rushing touchdown by Tony Daniel and an 86-yard punt return by Martinez for another score sealed the win for Buffalo.

D.J. Cook threw for 104 yards and a touchdown for the Great Danes.
