PROVO, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a man injured several people and caused a nine-car crash after crashing into a crowd attending a Provo concert.
Provo police say 46-year-old Kenneth Hafner, of Orem, was arrested Friday night.
According to police, the incident started just before 7 p.m. when Hafner allegedly drove through barricades for the city's Rooftop Concert Series.
Police say Hafner's vehicle was weaving through the crowds at about 15 mph.
Several pedestrians suffered minor injuries.
Hafner is accused of then hitting a car, triggering a chain-reaction involving six parked cars and three that were occupied. One person was hospitalized for minor injuries.
Hafner abandoned his car but was subsequently arrested.
Investigators are trying to determine if alcohol was a factor.
They say Orem has an outstanding warrant in California for parole violation.
