MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — KD Humphries threw for 385 yards and five touchdowns as Murray State beat Division II Kentucky Wesleyan 52-12 on Thursday night.
Humphries connected on 25 of 34 passes for the Racers. Roman Clay rushed 17 times for 96 yards and a score while Nick Taylor ran for 72 yards and another TD. Humphries' favorite target downfield was Jeremy Harness who finished with 156 yards and three touchdowns.
The Racers held a 31-0 edge at the break and never looked back, finishing with 578 total yards.
The Panthers scored late in the third on a 76-yard pass from Dalton Oliver to Travion Tucker to make it 45-6. Cole Woodburn missed the extra point. A fourth-quarter score by the Racers extended their lead to 52-6 before Fred Colman would score from three yards for the Panthers.
Oliver was 14 of 29 for 204 yards and a touchdown.
