Itawamba Community College names Bozeman as assistant coach

FULTON, Miss. (AP) — Itawamba Community College has named Eric Bozeman as the Indians' new assistant basketball coach.

Coach Grant Pete tells WTVA-TV (http://bit.ly/1KJmm1o ) that Bozeman comes to Fulton from Northwestern Oklahoma State University where he was the women's head basketball coach after seven seasons as the head men's basketball coach at Southern Arkansas University.

While at Southern Arkansas, he compiled a 73-116 record and led the Muleriders to the Great American Conference Tournament in his final season. It was the program's first postseason tournament berth in 10 years.

The Little Rock, Arkansas, native replaces former assistant coach Adam Kirk, who helped lead the Indians to the 2013-14 MACJC Championship and took over as the men's head basketball coach at Ripley High School.
