ATLANTA (AP) — New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira is still out of the lineup while he deals with a bruised right shin.

Teixeira is unable to run and isn't starting Friday night at Atlanta.

Teixeira says his shin doesn't feel better following an off-day Thursday. More tests may be needed on his injury.

Teixeira says "unlucky is an understatement for the timing of this thing" as the Yankees compete with AL East-leading Toronto. He says he is concerned because the injury is not healing faster.

Jacoby Ellsbury, who did not play on Wednesday because of a hip injury, is starting in center field and hitting leadoff.
