SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say a man was run over by a car after confronting the person who stole his vehicle in Salt Lake City.
The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/1Ve2PJA ) Salt Lake police detective Cody Lougy says the man was hospitalized with a head injury Wednesday and is now in stable condition.
The victim, whose car was stolen Wednesday afternoon, was in traffic with his wife when he noticed the stolen 1999 purple Subaru Outback a few cars ahead of his own. He got out of his vehicle to confront the driver, which led to an argument. The driver then ran the victim over and fled the scene.
The Subaru was found hours later, but police are still searching for the driver.
