DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Miami Dolphins safety Louis Delmas has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list because of a torn ACL in his right knee.

The move was made Monday. Delmas was hurt Wednesday during a scrimmage with the Carolina Panthers. He tore the same ACL last December against the Baltimore Ravens, and the latest injury threatens his career.

Walt Aikens and Michael Thomas are in contention to take Delmas' starting spot.
