SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Stallwalkin' Dude beat Scarly Charly by a nose Sunday in the $100,000 Tale of the Cat at Saratoga Race Course.
Ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. and owned and trained by David Jacobson, the 5-year-old gelding ran six furlongs in 1:09.06 and paid $8.40, $3.60 and $2.80 for his 12th victory in 32 starts.
Stallwalkin Dude pushed his earnings to $568,352. In his previous outing, he was second by a head to multiple graded stakes winner Wildcat Red in the Teddy Drone on Aug. 2 at Monmouth Park.
Scarly Charly returned $9.20 and $4.50, and Fast Anna paid $2.80 to show.
