Paul Nelson ReportingBe honest. How honest are you, really? A new poll says more Americans think little white lies are becoming more necessary.

It starts when we're young, and it keeps happening when we get old.

"I'm sure I've told little white lies."

A new Associated Press poll says two-thirds of Americans think it's acceptable to tell a lie in certain situations. For instance, if it spares someone's feelings. But people at the Gateway say they've lied about many different topics. Like, why they were late for work.

"I forgot my bus schedule."

Or, will they help a friend through emotional problems?

"‘I'll be there for you. Sure, whatever.' Not."

Matter of fact, I found a few people lie to me. They'd say they couldn't be interviewed because they were in a hurry, but 30 minutes later, they're in the same spot. But, all of these admitted "white liars" say they don't like it when people lie to them.
