(KSL News) -- The Salt Lake County Council has given the Living Planet Aquarium a temporary reprieve.
The Council has been reviewing a proposal to put a 34 million dollar funding initiative for the aquarium on the November ballot. Yesterday the council voted to extend the review period for another month.
Many feared the council would flatly reject the proposal.
The money -- if approved by voters -- would go to build a 90-thousand square foot facility in downtown Salt Lake.
