BOUNTIFUL, Utah (AP) — Police are searching for a man who they say robbed 12 residents at a Bountiful assisted senior living facility.

KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1LWuJHG ) that Bountiful Assistant Police Chief Ed Biehler says a man entered the Legacy House of Bountiful July 1. The man had gone through several rooms looking for cash and jewelry while some residents were asleep.

Employees eventually confronted the man and chased after him when he ran away. They lost sight of him a couple blocks away.

Detectives say 12 residents had cash, jewelry and credit cards taken during the robbery.

Investigators are working on obtaining fingerprints to help identify the suspect.
