Two books, Defence of the Muslim Lands and Join the Caravan, which allegedly support suicide bombings have been banned under new anti-terrorism laws in Australia.
The books cannot be sold in Australia or imported into the country.
According ABC Asia Pacific, the convenor of Australia's Classification Review Board Maureen Shelley said that eight books and one video were submitted for review by the attorney-general, Philip Ruddock. The two books that were banned directly contravened Australian law, Shelley said. Waleed Ali, a spokesman from the Islamic Council of Victoria, reportedly stated that the books in question had not been demonstrated as being a threat.
