HAYDEN, Idaho (AP) — Health officials are reminding northern Idaho residents to get tested as Gonorrhea cases are at an all-time high in the state's five northern counties. There have been 32 reported cases of the sexually transmitted disease this year, compared to only 17 cases between January and May 2014. Despite the recent increase in gonorrhea cases, chlamydia is still the most common STD in Idaho's five northern counties.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State University has named a familiar face as athletic director to replace Mark Coyle: Carroll College Athletic Director Curt Apsey. Apsey served in the Boise State athletic department as senior associated athletic director from 1998 to 2014. His return was announced Monday.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Washington State University students in Pullman have staged an impromptu memorial for school President Elson Floyd, who died last weekend of complications of colon cancer. WSU estimates about 100 students took part in yesterday's memorial, organized by students via social media. WSU junior Karena Gutierrez tells KHQ that Floyd was "very much like a father figure."

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Caldwell Police Chief Chris Allgood is asking the City Council to invest in another canine program after only one dog from the last program is likely to make the cut. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports the department devoted months of training into three dogs, but only one is likely to be certified.
