Don Brinkerhoff reportingTalking to reporters about a student has earned a Utah teacher a letter of reprimand.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the controversy began when one of Glenda Norviel's students refused to read a book. The girl -- who's a rape victim -- says the teacher then assigned her to write about the rape and her pregnancy as an alternative to reading.
When a Duchesne County newspaper contacted Norviel for a comment, she identified the girl and her attacker.
The girl's mother doesn't think a letter of reprimand goes far enough. She wants Norviel fired.
