DENVER (AP) — Umpire Bob Davidson left the game between Houston and Colorado in the third inning due to dehydration.
Davidson was working third base Thursday afternoon, leaving crew chief Jerry Layne and Hunter Wendelstedt to monitor the field while David Rackley was behind the plate.
The 62-year-old Davidson lives in Colorado. He was the second base umpire for the 2014 All-Star Game in Minneapolis.
