SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) — A former teacher at a southeastern Arizona high school has agreed to plead guilty to charges related to sexual conduct with a student.

The 35-year-old teacher at the school in San Simon had been accused of 10 felony counts of performing sex acts on a 16-year-old boy.

Court documents obtained by the Sierra Vista Herald (http://bit.ly/1elkD5I ) show that Marie Ellen Donaldson agreed to pleaded guilty to two lesser felonies following a settlement conference Friday. She could receive probation instead of jail time.

Deputy County Attorney Lori Zucco says the judge deferred accepting Donaldson's change of plea until she is sentenced on Aug. 17. She remains free on bond.

Donaldson was arrested in January in Idaho, where she now lives.
