NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — The University of New Haven is kicking off a campus-wide ban on all tobacco products with a celebration on Monday.
As of June 1 the university is banning and tobacco as well as electronic cigarettes on its campuses in West Haven and Orange.
The policy applies to all outdoor areas as well as university facilities and university-owned vehicles.
The celebration planned for Monday outside a health services building will involve students bashing a piñata in the shape of a cigarette.
