QUEBEC CITY (AP) — Nick Merkley, Gage Quinney and Leon Draisaitl each scored two goals and the Kelowna Rockets beat the Rimouski Oceanic 7-3 on Monday night in the Memorial Cup.

Madison Bowey also scored and Jackson Whistle made 28 saves for Western Hockey League champion Kelowna (1-1). The Rockets rebounded from a 4-3 loss to the host Quebec Remparts on Friday night in the tournament opener.

Christopher Clapperton and Michael Joly scored for Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champion Rimouski. The Oceanic are 0-2. They lost 6-3 to Ontario Hockey League winner Oshawa on Saturday night.

Kelowna will play Oshawa (2-0) on Tuesday night, and Rimouski will face Quebec (1-1) on Wednesday night in the final-round robin game.
