AUSTIN, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified a Las Vegas man killed in a crash last week on U.S. 50 near the central Nevada town of Austin.

Trooper Jim Stewart said Monday that 63-year-old Andres Tasker died and five other people from Las Vegas were hurt in the wreck just before 9 a.m. May 14 on the highway about 2 miles east of Austin Summit.

Crash investigators say 54-year-old Marcos Mesa-Alarcon was driving a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero that swerved and rolled over, throwing four people from the vehicle.

Stewart says the people who were ejected weren't wearing seatbelts.

Mesa-Alarcon and a front passenger were wearing seatbelts, and remained inside the vehicle.

It came to rest on its wheels.

All five people in the vehicle were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
