OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Rockets head into Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference final just two days after completing a comeback from down 3-1 to eliminate the Clippers. Houston was 0-4 against Golden State this season. The Warriors are 43-3 this season and post-season on their home court.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Anaheim looks to go up 2-0 on Chicago when the two teams meet tonight in the NHL Western Conference final. Just three defensemen logged 20 or more minutes of ice time for the Blackhawks in the opener due to injuries.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Nationals have won 15 of their last 19 games heading into their home series opener against the Yankees tonight and Bryce Harper has been a big reason. The right fielder is hitting .564 in the last 11 games with nine home runs, 22 RBIs and 10 walks.

NEW YORK (AP) — Michael Wacha tries to keep his perfect record intact when he takes the mound for the Cardinals against the Mets tonight. Wacha is 5-0 with a 2.06 ERA in seven starts this season for the NL Central leaders.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — NASCAR driver Kyle Busch and his wife, Samatha, have welcomed their first child. Brexton Locke Busch was born last night. The birthday 5-18 coincides with both car numbers Busch has run on the Sprint Cup circuit -- No. 5 for Hendrick Motorsports and No. 18 for Joe Gibbs Racing.
