LOS ANGELES (AP) — An airport official say a Delta Air Lines flight bound for Atlanta returned for an emergency landing shortly after taking off from an airport in Los Angeles.

Marshall Lowe, a spokesman for Los Angeles International Airport, said flight 1471A reported possible mechanical problems minutes after takeoff Sunday.

Lowe says the plane carrying 205 passengers and crew returned for an emergency landing at the airport at 6:12 a.m.

Lowe says no injuries were reported.

Lowe says he was not informed what caused the problem.
