ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Cautious Giant won the $58,000 feature by a length Thursday at Santa Anita after the race was moved off the turf course because of heavy rain.
Ridden by Tyler Baze, Cautious Giant ran 6 1/2 furlongs on a wet-fast track in 1:15.45 and paid $7.20, $4 and $3.40.
The surface change resulted in three scratches from the field of seven.
Husband's Folly returned $9.40 and $6.60, while Brazil-bred Bam Bam was another 1 3/4 lengths back in third and paid $6.80 to show.
The victory, worth $34,800, increased Cautious Giant's career earnings to $99,700, with two wins in 10 starts.
