MILWAUKEE (AP) — Shortstop Jean Segura is a late scratch from the Milwaukee Brewers' starting lineup against the Chicago White Sox because of a sore right pinky finger.

Third baseman Elian Herrera was moved from sixth in the order to the leadoff position after Segura was removed from the lineup less than two hours before Wednesday night's first pitch. Segura is hitting .262 with two homers, 12 RBIs and six stolen bases.

Herrera is filling at third for Aramis Ramirez, who hopes to return from a lower back injury for a weekend series against the New York Mets. Herrera has played well, hitting homers in three straight games entering Wednesday.

Hector Gomez moved from second to shortstop to replace Segura, with Scooter Gennett going into the lineup to play second.
