CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Marcquise Reed, who helped Robert Morris to the NCAA Tournament last season, has transferred to Clemson.

Clemson announced the move Wednesday.

Reed averaged 15.1 points in his freshman season with the Colonials, who won the Northeast Conference this past March. Reed scored 19 points as Robert Morris won its opening NCAA game. He had 22 points in a loss to eventual champion Duke.

Reed was named the Northeast Conference rookie of the year.

Robert Morris played at Clemson last season, Reed scoring 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting in a 64-57 loss to the Tigers.

Reed will sit out next season before playing for the Tigers. Reed joins Vanderbilt transfer Shelton Mitchell as players eligible for Clemson in the 2016-17 season.
