BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) — A suburban Denver middle school teacher is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a student for nearly a year, starting when she was 13.
Prosecutors filed sexual assault charges against 45-year-old Christian Rocky Armstrong on Wednesday, a day after he was arrested.
District Attorney Dave Young says the charges allege the history and geography teacher at Westlake Middle School assaulted the girl at the school from August 2012 through May 2013.
It's not clear if Armstrong has a lawyer yet. He is due to appear in court on Friday to be advised of the charges he's facing.
