BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Indiana sophomore basketball player Devin Davis has been suspended from all team activities after being cited for marijuana possession.

Additional action could be taken against Davis after a review, coach Tom Crean said Tuesday. He also said junior Hanner Mosquera-Perea was present at the time but was not charged by the Indiana University police department. Crean said the school will review what role Mosquera-Perea played in the incident.

Davis missed last season after sustaining a serious brain injury when freshman Emmitt Holt hit him with a car. Police later determined that Davis had jumped in front of the car and noted that both underage players had been consuming alcohol.

University police spokesman Lt. Craig Munroe said police responded to a complaint of the smell of marijuana around 8 p.m. Monday. Officers determined the smell was coming from a second floor room, went upstairs and found Davis and a second person, who was not identified because he was not cited.

Munroe said the two then allowed the officers to search the apartment, and a small amount of raw marijuana was found in a backpack that belonged to Davis. He was cited with possession of marijuana under 30 grams.

In the past 15 months, Mosquera-Perea was arrested on drunken driving charges, Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell and Stanford Robinson entered pretrial diversion programs after being charged in April with consumption of an alcoholic beverage by a minor and possession of false identification, and Robinson and Troy Williams were suspended four games each after failing drug tests. Holt also was suspended four games following the accident involving Davis.

Robinson has since decided to transfer.
