WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Wizards are hoping to win tonight's home playoff game with the Hawks so they can take a commanding 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal playoff. The Wizards took a 2-1 series lead with a 103-101 win two days ago. Game 5 in the series will be played in Atlanta Wednesday night.

OAKLAND (AP) — With a loss tonight to Memphis, Golden State's Warriors would fall two games back of the Grizzlies in their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal. The Grizzlies took a 2-1 lead two days ago with a 99-89 win. The fifth game in the series will be in two nights in Oakland.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Former Cy Young Award winner Zack Greinke (GREHN'-kee) of the Dodgers is gunning for his sixth win of the season tonight. The Dodgers are home to Miami, and Greinke, who has an earned run average of 1.56, would join Felix Hernandez of the Mariners and Bartolo Colon (bar-TOH'-loh koh-LOHN') of the Mets as the game's only six-game winners.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Shaka (SHAH'-kuh) Smart made a smart move financially when he chose to leave Virginia Commonwealth University to coach basketball for the University of Texas. The UT system regents are set to approve a contract worth nearly $22 million for Smart, with most of that money guaranteed. The deal also includes a $500,000 payment to VCU and a two-game series starting next season.

PARIS (AP) — It's been a long time since Rafael Nadal (rah-fay-ehl nah-DAHL') hasn't been among the top-five in the world tennis rankings. As a matter of fact it has been 10 years. In today's new rankings Nadal is No. 5. The 28-year-old has lost four times this season on clay, his favorite playing surface.
